July 1985-1995 |
|
|
The practice was founded in July 1985
by Dexter Smith, with Angela Addison as the only nursing
assistance in a small shop unit in Stantonbury Local
Centre. The practice grew, and in the late '80s and
early '90s several attempts were made to move to better
premises. Tam Johnston arrived as a Trident, stayed,
trained as a Veterinary Nurse and became Head Nurse,.
Lorraine Brock did likewise, but has now left us to
pursue an entirely different career.

1995-2000 |

In 1995 we acquired the Eaglestone
practice of Dr Whitaker, which is now run as a branch. Over
the years we have had several assistant veterinary surgeons.
Michelle joined us straight from Dublin University in
1998, and has been here ever since.

2000-the present day |
|
|
In 2000 after nearly 10 years of planning
and false starts, work was finally started on a purpose
built premises on nearby Stantonbury Fields. These were
completed in April 2001, and we moved in the following
month. It is altogether a better environment for all
concerned, both staff and clients. With more kennel space,
more room to work, our own car park on the doorstep and
overall more efficiency.
