We have two kennel rooms in the practice, one for dogs and one for cats. All our kennels are made by Shorline, probably the best kenneling and surgery equipment that you can buy in the world.

Dog Kennels

At the moment we have two walk in kennels, and a bank of 5 stainless steel kennels, with room for at least another six to nine kennels, depending on size, should we need them.

Cat Kennels

These are in a seperate room to the dog kennels, as cats often get quite upset by the presence of dogs, especially if they are noisy. Our cat kennels are a relatively new design introduced in 2002 by Shorline, known as Cat Condos. They are not stainless steel, so are less noisy and a little more cat friendly. Each has a built in litter tray and a shelf, which cats like to perch on. We have a bank of 6, which are so designed that, if we only have a few cats in, we can interconnect the units so that the inmates can occupy 2 or more. We regularly use Feliway, a feline anti stress pheromone, in them to try to reduce sterss levels in our feline patients.
